Excel error when saving to Windows 2000 Server

When I use XP pro to connect to A Windows 2000 server via
mapped drives I get an error. The error is when I open
Excel and work on a doc, when I go to save the file I get
a message stating that it is read-only and changes will be
saved to a temp file. Does anyone know why this happens
or a possible fix?

Hi,

Make sure you also have delete rights in the folder you
try to save to. If that is the case, check out the anti
virus software settings, maybe it is still scanning the
file you are trying to save.
