Hi guys,
I seem to always have problems with software which has
been working perfectly, then decides to go wonky on me.
The latest experience deals with Microsoft Excel 97.
For some while I have been using a specific password
protected spreadsheet which I set up myself. The last
time I used the file I used it and closed it. Everything
was working fine.
Again today I tried to open this file and after entering
the password, I got this error message.
"Excel has caused an error in MSO97.DLL. Excel will now
close."
Excel closes. I can open Excel again and use other
files. None of them are password protected. But
regardless of what I do, I cannot open my password
protected Excel file anymore.
I have restarted my computer. I have even tried renaming
the .DLL file, but when I do that Excel itself will not
open. So I have returned it to its proper name.
Is there some place I can download a new MSO97.DLL file to
replace the one that is stopping me from opening my
specific password protected Excel file ?
Any suggestions are greatly accepted.
