Excel 97 Standard Toolbar

Mark Greenough

Hi,

I have a user running Excel 97 SR2 on Windows 2000. The
standard toolbar seems to have disappeared. I have tried
the view menu and resetting the toolbars in the options
menu, but to no avail. I have searched the NG's and found
a suggestion to reset the .xlb files. But I am unable to
find them on this machine.

Anyone any ideas???

Try this:

Type Alt-F11 to enter the Visual Basic Editor. Open the Immediate
Window. Type or paste in:

commandbars("Worksheet Menu Bar").reset

hit enter. You may need to also type in, perhaps,

commandbars("Worksheet Menu Bar").visible = True

Type Alt-F11 to return to XL. If the menu bar is visible, use the
other techniques to restore the other items.
