Excel 2003 - Error readint from file ZA561402.CAB

Upgraded MS Office 97 to MS Office 2003 Standard (on W2K
platform) - Opening Excel gives following message:

Error 1309. Error reading from file D:\ZA561402.CAB

This file seems to be nowhere to be found......Cancelling
the error allows Excel to continue, but is a major
inconvenience for the user.
No help seems to be available from Microsoft .....
All ideas will be greatly appreciated.
