"Everyone Group" Is Denied Folder Access

Good morning....

I have a folder which a user had changed permissions for the "Everyone
Group" to deny. Needless to say, no one in the domain can enter the folder.

I have tried TAKEOWN.EXE and CALCS, but I have add no success. When I click
on the folder "Properities", I do not get a security tab. I have
administrator rights on the machine.

Does anyone have any suggestions how I can gain control of the folder again?

Thanks,

Forch

Hi,
Please Login to the machine using Local Administrator account and
then change the deny access to everyone from Access Control List or you can
goto advanced Button in the ACL and take the ownership of the folder and
then change rights

.I had a similar situation last week. I could not
uninstall devices from the device manager and I was
logged on as administrator! I was told to go to "Run"
type gpedit.msc Expand the widows settings tree you will
see Security Settings > Local Policies > User Rights
Assignment. Double click the line that deals with what
you are trying to do in my case it was the line for load
and unload device drivers then add Administrator to the
list and make sure it is checked. Reboot and you should
be good to go!!
