Event ID 51 BSOD's like a mother

Well, I've tried a brand new HD and a brand new MOBO to no avail.

This won't go away from the Event Viewer:

An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk0\D during a paging operation.

Here's the data in bytes:

0000: 03 00 68 00 01 00 b6 00 ..h...¶.

0088: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ........

Power supply? Cooling issues? Processor? I don't know what the culprit is
here, but I do know that whenever I open a multimedia type file, the BSOD is
imminent. Movies, music and pictures seem to arouse it more often than just
web browsing or gaming.

Any suggestions?

Is your hard drive partitioned into more than one partition? The
error message seems to indicate that it was drive D: that was
involved.

Have you made any changes to the virtual memory paging file settings?
If so, try going back to "system managed size" and drive C: for the
file and see if the problem persists.

Good luck

Thanks for the quick response.

It is drive C and I have done full reinstalls several times using both old
and new motherboards AND with the old and new hard drives. This is grueling.
PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT EVENT 51 is and why it is doing this to me =(
