Hi - I keep receiving event 1030's on my client PC's.
All Clients are W2K pro or XP pro. The server is W2K
SP4. The message states "Windows cannot query for the
list of Group Policy objects. A message that describes
the reason for this was previously logged by the policy
engine." There is no other messages previously logged.
Everything seems to be working fine but it's quite
troubling seeing all these messages in the event viewer
on the client end. No references on the server end.

Jake,

Well, there could be a slew of reasons. Here are a few I have seen:

1) DNS is not configured on the client properly
2) DNS is not being updated properly, especially from the DCs
3) The time is off from the client to the DCs (make sure time and zones are
correct)
