I am getting an error in my "Application Log". The error is:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Perflib
Event Category: None
Description:
The timeout waiting for the performance data collection function "PerfProc"
in the "C:\WINNT\system32\perfproc.dll" Library to finish has expired. There
may be a problem with this extensible counter or the service it is
collecting data from or the system may have been very busy when this call
was attempted.


I thought the error was associated with my counter log that I was running
and could find a certain counter or parameter I am trying to count. I have
stopped the counter and the error has continued to be displayed in Event
Viewer.

I have seached the internet and nothing seemed to jump out at me.

Does anyone have an suggestion on how to stop this error or what it might
be?
