When I attempt to shutdown OR logoff a windows xp home
machine, it simply does nothing.
Upon further inspection, the event viewer generates the
Event: 1073
Source: User32
The attempt to unknown S0031897223 failed.
Any ideas?
I notice that there is a "regedit.exe" running as
a "SYSTEM" in the task manager. Removing that/ending
that seems to fix the problem but can't seem to locate
where that starts up.
