Escape from Presentation Mode

Can someone tell me how I can escape from Presentation mode where it takes me
back to Edit mode so I can change the content on a slide?

Well using the ESC button takes me out of the presentation completely. I
would like to go back to Edit mode. Does that make sense?

Sounds like you are using a "powerpoint show".

Find the file.... (right click it) rename it from

..ppS

to

..ppT

that should do the trick.
