Errror opening add and remove software

Every time I try to use the Windows 2000 Pro function "add
and remove software" in the control I get a message like
the following:
An unexpected error occurred.

Object doesn't support this property or method
res://sp3res.dll/default.hta
Line 82

Any suggestions to correct this problem?

Just wondering if using the top-left Search box at their website
for your o/s, and entering sp3.dll and/or object doesn't support
this property or method, will show some service packs or software
items that you might have installed or be using, that could relate
to this message? I see a lot mentioned about developer tools,
etc..
