I'm trying to send out emails from my Outlook and all of the sudden I get
errors that state access to your account was denied - "Forbidden" ...just
started doing this.
Probably a Hotmail account. They made some changes which mean some older
clients can't use the HTTPMail for access any more. Since you didn't
identify which email client you are using, I'll have to blitz you with the
options.
If you have either MS Outlook 2003, or MS Outlook 2007, you will want to

It explains how to set up Hotmail for POP3 access. A word of advice: POP3 is
not a synchronizing protocol, it is a downloading protocol. It will only
download the contents of the Inbox, but none of your other online folders.
You should also check the Advanced account properties, to see that "Leave a
copy of messages on the server" is checked, or Outlook will delete the
downloaded messages from the server. Assumes you mean to leave messages for
access from other locations.
The only way to retain folder synchronization, if you are not using the
latest versions of Outlook, is to upgrade to the latest, and add the Outlook
Connector, or download Windows Live Mail and install it. They are the only
MS clients currently able to access Hotmail accounts, and synchronize
folders.
The links I am posting are straight out of an email to one of my Hotmail
accounts. It came to an account I access using Windows Live Mail; I've also
gotten notices to a Hotmail account I accessed using MS Outlook Express.
However, in deference to those who claim to not have received notices, I did
check two other Hotmail accounts I have. I did not realize it, but they have
no notices. So my earlier comments to others were definitely out of line.
