Error Occured In The Remote Access Desktop ActiveX control

When ever I run a console program to try and connect to my WHS I get This
Error:
An error occurred in the Remote Desktop ActiveX control installed on your
computer. Something I beleive is wrong with this ActiveX control, is there a
way to re install it? I am running SP 3 And the error is NOT related to SP3
because it was working fine with SP3. Any Suggestions?

You may want to enable RDP add-ons in IE. This search result may help.

Bob Thanks for the reply, I am having this issue when I try to login to my
WHS console. Is there a difference btween this download
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...B5-97FF-47BC-BACC-92283B52B310&displaylang=en
I know that WHS is basically Server 2003 with a nice user friendley look.
The thing is everything was working fine along time afetr I upgraded to SP3.
Somehow my registry must have gotton corrupted. I guess my main question is
can I install and fix this problem by either of the downloads. Thanks again,
Mark G.

RDP is enabled in IE 7. This is not related to that problem.

I have the same problem. The client is up to date XP, and the error only
started occurring around the same time (end of November). My recollection is
that some kind of WHS connector update came through shortly before then.
Maybe that update broke us.

Curiously, other accounts on the same client do not have the problem.

-- rg,
If you get any answers to this let me know, I have seen other posts from
people with the same problem. However NO Answers! It seems they are confusing
this issue with either an SP 3 update or and IE 7 issue with RDP. This has
nothing to do with those issues it is a different problem and is most likley
a corruption in the registry but where and how to fix are the questions. Here
are some other posts
