Error messages

The following two error messages occur when I try to get
mail or send mail. How can I correct the problem. Any
assistanc e would be greatly appreciated.

#1.The host 'smtp' could not be found. Please verify that
you have entered the server name correctly.
Account: 'Microsoft Mail server', Server: 'smtp',
Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error:
11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

#2.The host 'pop3' could not be found. Please verify that
you have entered the server name correctly.
Account: 'Microsoft Mail server', Server: 'pop3',
Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error:
11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

Make sure the SMTP and POP3 servers are set correctly. Your ISP can provide
you with the correct info for that.

Hi - ask your ISP/mail hosting company what the correct POP and SMTP server
names are, and put them in exactly as they say.

You put Smtp for the smtp server. And pop3 for the pop3 server. That's
wrong, you should have something like smtp.microsft.com and
pop.microsoft.com or pop3.microft.com for the pop3 server. But i'm sure that
isn't the right server for you, so check with your mail provider for their
server. For example my sever is pop3.direcway.com and smtp.direcway.com
