Error message

I installed Microsoft Works 9 on my laptop with Vista Home Premium
and when there is an error on typing, it underlines it with red but will not
give options.
When I click on the Spell Check it gives me a window that says "Works cannot
finish Spelling and
Grammar check because an error occurred. Some files maybe missing or
corrupted. To fix this
problem, please reinstall Works." I did. I un-installed it and re-installed
it, and the same error
occurred. What can I do to get that file repaired?
Any help will be much appreciated.

After several mistrials and a search I came up with this link:

Hi guys,

I downloaded the Update and it still doing the same.
What now? I wonder if the CD I purchased is defective.
If you can think of anything else that might help, please
post it here. I ran out of options of my own.

Depends on where you got the CD and then it could be likely.
Otherwise I am fresh out of ideas, sorry.
