Error message when starting Aol

I previously installed Aol 8.0 and it launched ok. Now
when I launch it a window pops up with the message, Error
copying file or folder.Cannot copy file: The file name you
specified is either not valid or to long. Specify a new
file name.I have uninstalled this version installed aol
8.0 plus and I still get the error message.I have even
edited the registry to delete all entries for aol and
still get the error message when I install aol again. I am
running XP pro and am conected to the internet via a cable
modem which means I bring my own service provider.

First, be sure you don't have any viruses by scanning with a current,
updated antivirus program. Remove spyware with Spybot Search & Destroy
(www.security.kolla.de) and/or Ad-aware from Lavasoft. Delete temporary
and Temporary Internet Files. When you are sure your computer is clean,
does the problem persist? If yes, then you will need to contact AOL
tech support for further help becuase the issue is with AOL's settings.

First of all, having worked for ATT@home tech support,
they are usually behind the 8 ball when AOL or other ISPs
upgrade, so you may want to check with your ISP to see if
8.0 is compatible with their software, or change to an
older version of AOL, MY suggestion would be to get rid
of the Son of Satan, Aol, altogether and NEVER let it on
your computer again (if that's possible)!!!!
