Error Message Causing a Computer Crash

My computer system srashes after being on a while and gives the following
message:

Services and Controller App has encountered a problem and needs to close.
We are sorry for the inconvenience. The error signature is as follows:

szAppName: services.exe szAppVer: 5.1.2600.2180 szModName: esent.dll
sdModVer: 5.1.2600.2780 offset: 0001baec


How can I fix this? Any help is appreciated. Please reply to:

I have run several virus scans and this does not show as a virus.
What does that mean?
