Error message at start up...

Everytime I log into Windows XP I get an error message that says: Windows cannot find ' C:\WINDOWS\System32\System32.exe '. Make sure you typed the name correctly, then try again. To search for a file, click the start button and then click Search. Does anybody know of a way to get rid of this message ?

It is a virus remnant...
You receive a "Cannot find C:\Windows\System32\System32.exe" warning message when you
start Windows XP
