Error mesage

Okay, you got to be good to answer this one. 5 out of 10 times when I boot
up I get an error message that says: ATI video bios poller. ATI EVXX. EXE
application error.

The instruction at "OX7c911639" referenced memory at oXOO863005, the memory
could not be read.

I contacted Microsoft, no help. I called the computer manufacturer. They
sent a tech who said the memory was defective, so he replaced memory twice.
Then he replaced the mother board. Then he replaced the complete computer.
Not the sharpest knife in the drawer as far as I could tell. Don't fix
it....replace it .... seemed to be his approach. As a last chance, I
contacted ATI. After attempts after attempts, they suggested that I just
live with the error message. I am sorry, I want everything I own to work as
is should. Hell, I even straighten pictures after the housekeeper leaves
for the day.... Call me Monk if you must, but it needs to be right. Any
ideas????

Hi,

Did you check to see if there is a fault with the drivers of ATI. Uninstall
the old drivers and then download the latest version fo the drivers from ATI
website and then install it. you may be greeted with a 16-bit colour (all
ugly colours) and then it will complete the installation and then refresh the
screen and you will get back the true colours. You may be prompted to restart
the computer and see if the problem goes away.

If the problem still persists then try to replace the video card if you have
one.
