I've got a problem with my pc. When I shut it down, everything stops, but
after 1 hours, the hard disk starts blinking permanently.

I've found the IDEvent 1517 that explains the following problem:

Windows saved user <user name> registry while an application or service was
still using the registry during log off. The memory used by the user's
registry has not been freed. The registry will be unloaded when it is no
longer in use. This is often caused by services running as a user account,
try configuring the services to run in either the LocalService or
NetworkService account.

Could you please tell me how to relsove this problem, in order that hard
disk shuts down correctly? I've downloaded UPCHLean by Microsoft, but there
is nothing that tells me which process could trouble the system. I'm very
annoyed to give you this problem but I've tried all possiblities to resolve
that problem (setup defalut options in the Bios, complete restore of the
system), but te problem is still there.

As I recall, there is a README file in the UPClean package that instructs on
how to sleuth out what's hanging the system, though this may not truly be
your problem. Check this out as well...

Dear Sirs,

I've got a problem with my pc. When I shut it down, everything stops, but
afert 1 hours, the hard disk starts blinking permanently.

I would be grateful to you to help me to find a solution.
