error: cookies are disabled

I cannot log in to any sites requiring passport. I have
cookies enabled in privacy setting but keep getting
message saying cookies are disabled. I cannot log on to
yahoo or msn. Does anyone have a fix for this or do I have
to reinstall xp?

On your desktop right click the

1 Internet Explorer Icon
2 Click on the Privacy tap at the top of the window
3 Move the slider down to the medium position
