Error code0x80004005

I receive this error code 0x80004005 when trying do a hardware test in voice
setup. After this I get Windows cannot execute dpvsetup.exe. Use Add\remove
progs. in Control panel. This is a Dell Deminsion 2400.
Can anyone give ne a clue> I searched the Knowledge base and came up empty.

I have SP2 width winXP_pro and it dosen't help.
And for "dpvsetup.exe" I don't get any error when I try to execute it but it
dosen't do enithigh (enything that dat I can see).

Sugestions??

PS: Because of this I alsow can not hear sound from my microfon... (I think)
and my TV-Tunner (because it uses line-in for sound).
