Error 0x80070005 when trying to use System Restore

Hi,
I recently tried to download an update for a program I use (Guard ID) and
once the update was completed and my system rebooted, I got the following
message - browser integration & protection may not be set-up correctly. I
called customer service for Guard ID and they had me check in the Manage
Add-ons section in Internet Explorer to make sure the add-on related to Guard
ID was enabled. It was, so they told me the only thing I could do was to use
system restore. I tried to restore my computer back to several points prior
to the installation but kept getting the 0x80070005 access is denied error.
I'm hoping someone can help me fix this problem. Thanks in advance!

I finally got System Restore to work through the Startup Repair tool and am
good to go. Thanks!
