Epson T048xx Cartridge Storage?

I just purchased an Epson R220 to be used to print only on recordable media.

So I may go a week or two between uses.

Should I be pulling the cartridges and storing them in cool air tight
container like I do with my other cartridges??

I read where this might damage the Epson printer by allowing the ink to dry
in the printer.

Hi,

It is not a good idea to ever pull a cartridge out of an Epson without
soon replacing it with another. Once ink has entered the head there's an
open orifice to allow air if the cartridge is then removed. The air will
react with the ink to make it thicker through evaporation and eventual head
clogging.
I believed your R220 is using dye base ink, which makes it a little less
hazardous than the very quick drying Dura-brite inks used in the C models.
The best advice I can supply is to print with your machine at least once a
week if not more.

I'll let others comment about the storage, if you look back throug
these pages you will come across the storage question

One thing you must not do is to leave the printer without a cartridg
otherwise you'll end up with a airlock which will damage the heads
plus the fact the ink in the nozzle chamber will dry up

Absolutely, under no circumstances do you want to remove the cartridges
between printing. It will cause a considerable amount of ink to dry up
in the ink tube and the heads, It will cause you many headaches... do
not do it!
