Hi,

I have this problem with my R2400. The head is blocked and no amount of
cleaning gives me a clear nozzle check. I haven't used the printer for a
couple of weeks and today I printed a few photos all with slight
banding.Apart form using a complete set of cartridges (again)is there
any other fix.Inks have always been Epson form new (printer six months old).

Regards

This is the first problem I have heard of regarding the 2400 when only
using Epson inks.

I guess there is an advantage to dye base inks over pigments.

If the printer is only 6 months old Epson should replace it. I would
call Epson Tech Support.

Your printer would have a year warranty, including any issues with clogging.
Call Epson support and they may give you some advice that will get it
unclogged. They traditionally have an exchange program that would get you a
refurbished machine in a couple of days, shipping paid by them, or they may
also give you the option to send it back to them or take it to a repair
facility where the work would be paid by them.

1) these printers rarely clog even after a fair wait, so I am a bit
surprised.

2) If it is only 6 months old, it is probably covered under warranty

3) If you wish to try to handle this yourself email me at:

Please indicate you wish a copy of the Eposn printing manual. There is
no fee for it.
