2nd is enough [safe] Ad-Aware, Spybot removes new.net + other adware. But, i'm not sure if that will fix the Enter key issue.

Of all the solutions I read in all the threads on this subject, these two are the only ones that might work for me. All of the others do not apply to my system. Can you let me know if these are safe:
1) "Check in the add/remove = find date mgr and precision time and new.net Domains 6.10.
I cannot find date mgr and precision time, but i can find new.net Domains 6.10. I am afraid to remove it because I don't know what it does. Do you know what it does or what applications depend on it?
2) I thought I heard about spyware that does this. Run these tools weekly
spybot --

ad-aware --

Are these legitimate and safe?
Thanks!!

Periodically, my Enter key stops working. It must be that I press a wrong key on my keyboard at some point accidentally and that wrongly sets some sort of functionality change to my Enter key. I cannot figure out why this happens, but it is very annoying. When I restart my PC, the probem goes away.
Any idea what causes this?
