Enter Key malfunction

The enter key does not execute the command that is
desired. For example, after data is entered into a
search field, or when moving the cursor while using Word,
or when moving the cursor down a line when using outlook
express, the enter key is nonfunctional. The enter key
of this particular keyboard works fine on another
computer and a different keyboard has the same problems.
Any suggestions.

Did you by chance accidentally reprogram the enter key function with some
macro function or other assignment?

This is a reported problem with the latest Windows Update
patch no KB828028. Try uninstalling it and see if that
works.

If you try the solution suggested, do *not* do the procedure in Section
3 if the fix of Section 2 has worked

The new window update has apparently done this...restore to before Feb 12 and it works again...the problem...what happens when you upgrade again??
