I have been running Internet Explorer 6.0 for some time
through a cable ISP. I recently switched to a DSL
connection and since then, most web pages I visit don't
open using the correct encoding language. Auto-select is
checked, and the default language is usually Western
European (ISO). If I change the language to Western
European (Windows) or Unicode (UTF-8) the page clears up,
but I have to manually change the encoding on every page.
Is there something I can do to alleviate the problem or at
least is there a way to make Unicode (UTF-8) the default
language?
