enabling shortcut keys

I have inadvertently disabled the shortcut keys I normally
use in Excel to speed things up (ex: CTRL+SHIFT+DOWN to
highlight an entire column of data or CTRL+HOME to go to
cell A1 in a worksheet). I am not sure how I did it and
have been unsuccessful in turning the shortcuts 'on' again
by changing my settings in Excel.

Does anyone how I can re-enable the shortcut keys?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Look under tools>options>transition and see if the transition navigation key
is checked,
uncheck it
