enable to open a word document

i was typing my assignemt when this message appeared. It was telling me that
an error occured in microsoft word and it suggested me some repairs, just
close all the informative windows the problem involved. But now the thing is
my document is in the list when clicking on "file" in microsoft word, it is
at the bottom.
When i try to open it, there a window telling me that: "Word experienced an
error to open the file. try these suggestions 8Check the file permission for
the document or drive *make sure there sufficient free memory and disk
space*Open the file with the text recovery converter". I have even tried
their text recovery converter but it doesnt work!! Can someone pleeese tell
me how can i recover my document

You don't say what version of Word you have, but if it is Word 2003, select
the file in Word's Open dialog and use the Open and Repair option (click the
down arrow beside the Open button).
