Enable "Always ask before opening this type of file" in Vista Outlook 2007

Tom

I want to be able with no pop-up warning to open .doc, .jpg, .bmp files, etc
in Outlook 2007 running in Vista and accessing an Exchange server.

The "Always ask before opening this type of file" prompt is disabled, so I
can't uncheck the box.

I understand that if I uncheck the box on this prompt, that I will be
reducing my computer's security. (I also show extensions for all files, so I
know what I'm clicking.)

In XP, this was done in the Windows Explorer, under Tools, File Types. But
it's no longer available there.

I've been told to edit EditFlags in the registry for each file type.
However, this is too error prone, etc.

Isn't there a way to simply un-disable the "Always ask before opening this
type of file" so I can remove the check box next to it?

I have adminstrator privileges.
