Emergency Boot Disc

Is there a way of making an emergency start up boot disc for Windows XP? Please give me instructions if there is! I had problems with my computer and finally had success with a cold boot to go into safe mode.

There's no need for an ERD with WinXP. The WinXP installation CD
is bootable, and provides access to the Recovery Console.
