Embedded mpg files turning white...

J

Johan Sydling

Hello.

I have some presentations with embedded mpg files. Some
of them plays when I click them in the presentation but
some just turn white. They sort of disappear. I can play
all the files directly in the media player so the files
seem to be ok. If this would have been a codec problem I
presume that the wouldn't have played at all, nor in the
media player or in the presentation.

I have checked all the files and I can't see anything
strange with the ones that doesn't work in the
presentation.

I am using the 2002 (sp1) version of powerpoint.

Thanks in advance.

Have a nice weekend.

Cheers,
Johan

Johan,

This is probably the directory/folder length problem. If the place where the video file is located is too long...then
I've seen the white box problem appear.

e.g
c:\thisiswhere\microsoft\insist\myvideos\shouldbelocated\username\sneezy\bashful\dozy\videoclip.mpg

See
