We have a powerpoint presentation that was created by an
outside vendor. The presentation contains the following
fonts: Arial, Arial bold, Arial ital, Wingdings. We are
currently using Powerpoint 97 (on an NT Workstation). The
vendor "embedded" the fonts used in the presentation,
however, when we view the presentation on our computers,
the Arial Ital shows up as plan Arial and the Arial Bold
shows up as plan Arial.
The vendor assures us that it is correct when she sends
it, she even created a pdf file (it is correct) and a
print-out of the presentation (it is also correct).
When we view the same file on a newer computer (with XP
operating system), the file looks correct.
Why are the fonts not showing up correctly? I thought when
fonts were embedded that they would look the same on any
computer you viewed the presentation on.
Thanks,
