You know, sometimes the servers just go off-line for a little while. If it
worked before, and you've made no changes, then the fault is probably with
the server.

Chill out, take a nap, when you wake up the problem will probably have
resolved itself.

First, try renewing your account in Windows Mail. Delete that mail
account, restart Windows Mail, then recreate the account.

If no improvement, there may be a corrupted email on the server.
Go to http://bt.yahoo.com/webmail and sign in.
Then clean out all the folders in your webmail. If you want to save
any messages, create a new folder and move those messages to the
new folder. Empty the spam and thrash folders also. Close webmail, then
try Windows Mail again.

Unknown errors in Windows Mail are often due to interference from
an antivirus program. What if any antivirus programs do you have,
and have you ever had a Norton or McAfee antivirus program on
that computer, even one of the trial versions that often come already
installed on new computers?

Have you visited the BT website to see if they have changed anything and
either forgotten to tell you or simply not bothered?

It's been done before when USWest changed their server names to QWest
and didn't bother to tell anybody, including their own tech support. I
told them :)
