Email storage in Thunderbird

Hi all,

Getting a new PC on Friday, but I would like to save addresses, e-mails
and newsgroup details on to a cd.

I use TBird for e-mail (and sometimes ng's) and Gravity for news.

Where can I find these stored files and how simple will it be to back
them up?

You can do backup with Mozilla backup to save adress book and other config.
The folder is sthing as
C:\Documents and Settings\BrianE\Application
Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\default\28e836na.slt
