Email Spam; possible virus

Hello Folks,

I need some assistance in alleviating the ridiculous
amount of emails I am receiving from non-existent email
addresses. I emailed MS and they replied stating that
even though the emails are labeled from MS, they are not.
MS states it is some part of a virus that is flooding my
inbox with bogus emails to download security patches,
etc.

Does anyone have any guidance as to what I should do to
resolve this issue?

Yes, I am getting lots of those emails as well. We have
a spam filter on our exchange server that filters the
majority of them out though. We use the one by GFI and
it does pretty well.
