email send only possile with windows mail restart???

My Problem is that when I compose a message it's not send out even though the
settings are set to "send message immediately"
Even when I click on the Receive/Send button on the top it's not working.

BUT when I close and reopen windows mail then all the messages are send out
automatically and delivered to the recipient.

Sorry if some of the button translations are not correct but I'm using a
german version.

What if any antivirus programs are you using? Some of them cause
assorted problems in Windows Mail.

Click on Tools, then Accounts, then your email account, then
Properties. If there is no check mark in the box before Include
this account when receiving mail or synchronizing, click on this
box and then Apply. Click on OK and then Close.

I use ClamWin antivirus and the checkbox has always been checked.

I use ClamWin. I deactivated the emailscanning and restarted windows mail but
no change. Message is still only send out after restart

I haven't heard of ClamWin antivirus causing problems, but the only
way to be sure is to uninstall it.

Other than that, I'm out of ideas to try.
