Email on Desktop and Laptop

I cannot replicate my previous setup in which i was able to view my Comcast
emails on my laptop, and then view those same emails on my desktop.

I view emails via Windows Live Mail on my laptop (vista), and Outlook
Express on my desktop (xp). I have the Comcast account setup as POP3 on both.

If I view a new email on my laptop, that email is not later present on my
desktop, and vice versa. How can I set up my email accounts so that I can
view new emails on both the desktop and laptop?

I searched online, and discovered that Comcast does not support IMAP, which
I initially thought would be the cure to this problem. Do I have to somehow
instruct my laptop to forward a copy to my desktop? I have no clue.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Set both computers to leave a copy of email on the server
(Tools|Accounts|Mail|Properties|Advanced tab) so both can be in sync, then
set one of the two (makes no difference which) to delete mail from the
server after (xx) days.
