email form error

When I upload a form page and test it I get this error.
Cannot run the FrontPage Server Extensions' Smart HTML interpreter on this
non-HTML page

what can I do to solve this?

Does your page have a filename extension of .htm or .html?

Filename extensions of .asp or .aspx, for example, will
produce this error. You can't use FrontPage forms-
handling functions (such as save to file, send mail, and
file upload) on ASP or ASP.NET pages.

path problem ...
