email 'box' moves when I type

Whether I reply to someone's email or I create a new email, the scroll bar
moves by itself either up or down while I'm typing in the message area - not
just one or two lines. For instance I'll just begin typing an email and all
of a sudden I'm at the bottom of the page. (Actually, it just did it now as
I'm typing this). This happens all the time. Is there something that can be
done about this? Is my scroll bar haunted!! LOL

I don't profess I know the answer, but if you would humour me..... disable
your touchpad's scroll bar.
Right click an open space on the desktop > Personalize > Mouse Pointers >
Touchpad tab, click to change Touchpad settings >
Scrolling Settings > UN-check Enable > OK.

Make sure that the (mouse) receiver's not located close to anything
electrical (e.g., desklamp; router or modem; monitor).

My laptop isn't close to anything electrical. I've had it for a year and
it's always in the same place.

See, you DID know the answer. It works!! I created a new email and I
replied to an email, and the scroll bar never moved on it's own. Thank
you!!!!!!!!!!!

The truth is, I don't know for sure.
I do know your touchpad settings are too sensitive, and the way you type
might have triggered the touchpad. So logical deduction follows.
