Email Attachments

My Outlook started acting strangly today. When I attempt to attach a file to
an email, the following occurs. I can attach any type of file except a zip
file. When I select the zip file for attachment, the "Insert" button on the
dialog form changes to "Open". Clicking on "Open" or any of the other dialog
dropdown options does nothing. The file is cannot be attached using this
method.

Sounds like Windows XP built-in handling of zip files is getting in the way.
(XP treats zips like folders) Give me a second and let me search the
Windows XP group for the 2 DLL files that need to be unregistered.

<searching...>

Here we go (this will also disable XP looking in ZIP files when doing a
search for files)...

To disable:
regsvr32 /u zipfldr.dll
regsvr32 /u cabview.dll

To re-enable:
regsvr32 zipfldr.dll
regsvr32 cabview.dll
