Edit various passwords & user names

T

Tom

How does one (1) find and (2) get access - to the XP-Home
OS file where the various passwords and user names are
located?
Basically I want to delete some that are no longer used.
Thanks,

You will need to have admin rights...

Go to Control Panel->User Accounts.

Click on the account you want to delete.

Select "Delete the Account".

Any files that the user has under their account will be lost.

If these are accounts: Go to the start menu, click run
(if it isn't there hold down windows key + R) and
type "control userpasswords2", from there you can change
passwords and delete accounts, you must be an
administrator.

If the usernames and passwords you are talking about are
general ones that XP is storing for you for online
things, go to the control panel, double click "User
Accounts" and click on your account, under related tasks
there is a link called "manage my network passwords,
click here and from here you can see and remove all your
usernames and passwords.
