Ebay issue; dropping and restarting

We have a Sony Vaio that was preloaded with Vista, and I love it with the
exception that when ever I do anything on Ebay, explorer drops and restarts.
I can search anything else, anywhere else, but when it comes to Ebay no such
luck. I have been online with Sony who recommended a couple of different
things, such as disabling my firewall. (not done) updating my virus
protection (which was done before getting online with them and it did not
make any difference.) and then they recommended going through a different
internet area. we do have a wireless connection with a brand new router.
anyone else have any other suggestions?

Microsoft has examined your bank accounts and PayPal account and found you
have no money, it was all taken by that nice fellow in Nigeria who needed
your help sneaking $23B into the US. So IE is simply preventing you from
overdrawing on your empty accounts.

Hi Darryll,

Disregarding Val's comments I find your problem strange. Do you have
phishing running ? If so try turning it off for eBay and see if that works.
Seeing as you don't have any trouble with other sites this is really
interesting.
Not sure if my suggestion will help, but if nothing else you could contact
eBay and see what they have to say.

Actually, we finally found the problem and it was add ons that had
inadvertantly installed from another program that we use in conjunction with
Ebay (Vendio has a program that is to help sellers) which is apparently not
very vista friendly. that program was dealio. after disabling the add on for
that program Ebay is working quite nicely. this after about 6 weeks of
trying to figure it out!
but thanks for the note, and I hope whoever else has this problem will
have it figured out faster! Darryll

Hi Darryll,

Those add-ons can be real sneaky buggers, glad you got it sorted out.
