New Service Pack and Audio

I installed the new service pack last friday and since then I can't listen to
anything in my Sony Vaio CR. The sound goes mute after Windows vista is
loaded. Everything else is fine, the card sound is fine, but I have been
forced to restore my system to its previous state. What's happening with the
new update?

Hi,

I had same problem and fixed it.

Problem:
No sound coming out of speakers using any application such as GOM or WMP.
Diagnosis tools says that audio realtek is working.

Solution:

Download audio driver update from Sony Vaio to fix SP1 sound problem. As
long as you're there (at Sony) check out any other updates.
