Dynamic DNS not cleaning database

I have Dynamic Dns enabled, 3 windows 2000 dns servers
secure updates only. I checked the DNS database, and I
see muliple entries for a single workstation. (several ip
address's). Shouldn't Dynamic Dns being cleaning up these
old records?

Nope -- that's called "scavenging" and it is off by
default (to prevent premature scavenging of DC
records most likely.)

Enable Scavenging on the server AND on (each)
zone but keep the intervals LONG (default is 7 days
+ 7 days + (part of) 7 days.)

Don't reduce it unless you are VERY CERTAIN you
know what you are doing.
