I would upgrade my image to directx9 but I don't know how to use
DxInstall.exe as I can't find directx9 files: on Microsoft's site I found
onli .exe file to install directx

Hi Gianluca,

In case that you did not searched on google groups follow the links about
dx9. Watch on the line wrap.

Also there is DX install api and special install pack for DX (if I remember
correctly) that you can use, but on XPe you must be very careful with this.

Also check www.xpefiles.com maybe someone put some solution there, but it
might not work on your image.
