dwwin error message on shutdown

When I quit or restart I am getting a window just before
the shut down saying "dwwin.exe - DLL Initialization
Failed. The application failed to initialize because the
window station is shutting down." I see no entries in the
event viewer. I am not experiencing any problems, but
would like to know why the message has suddenly begun
appearing everytime a shut down is initiated?

Hi Payton,

It is a part of the error reporting tool. It normally means that there
wasn't enough time to log an error; however, for many it causes no harm.

Thanks for the response. Do you think it has anything to
do with the error reporting update I downloaded recently?

Most welcome. It could be, but what I can tell you is that 'many' users
have gotten this same error message on shutdown and don't have nor have the
update installed. Good luck!
