Right click a blank space on your desktop, left click Properties. When the
Display Properties dialog box opens click the Settings tab, then drag the
Screen Resolution slider bar to 800x600, then click the Apply and OK
buttons. Most of the DVD software that I've used will only work at 800x600
resolution.

What processor are you running? How much RAM do you have and do you have a
video card, or is the memory shared with the main system memory. Running
DVD's requires a fast processor, lots of RAM, and for best performance, a
video card with at least 32 megs of RAM. Or if all else fails, lower your
resolution and go down in color depth.
