DVD Circle Slashed (International No Sign)

Hi all,

I have Windows Vista which lately is showing a red Circle Slash indicating
that the drive is not available. I've tried to get it working but it isn't
seeing any of the discs that I install in the system. Does anyone have an
idea on how to clear the old session that is stuck open?

Thanks

Get a Mac.

Why you people STILL put up with Windows is absurd!

Life is too short to waste anymore time with Windows.

Hi Dustin,

I've looked at the registry and there are no UPPER or LOWER filters in the
DVD/CD section. The circle slash is showing up under windows explorer. It
doesn't see any disk that I insert into the drive. I'm thinking that it may
have a Session of writing files stuck in it but if I insert a blank media in
the drive and tell it to burn it says there are no files to burn.

I don't know if this matters but it is Windows Vista Business.

Thanks
Russ
